Okay, maybe not the whole world (yet). But maybe just your world. Or at least a day of your world, if you let me.
I am what the internet calls a "creative." I design, I take photos, and I help brands and individuals alike tell their stories in a way that is both most true and most understandable. I attended Pepperdine University, having graduated with honors studying Advertising and Non-Profit Management.
I have used my integrated branding and design skills to work in both the corporate and the non-profit settings. My professional background includes everything from a software company to a hospice center, from a university to a mountain family camp, from a yoga studio to a non-profit benefiting previously incarcerated men.
As a photographer and owner of Little Boat Photography, a wedding and lifestyle brand, I have been trained by the great master of experience. I have half a decade of experience snapping my way through travel, editorial, wedding, portrait, corporate, and lifestyle photography. I capture what is true and representative of the heart of my subject. I am primarily an adventure lifestyle and wedding photographer. LA-based, I have traveled extensively and am available for booking internationally. As an aspiring photojournalist, I have lived and worked near and far–– LA to Kenya to Paris to Israel–– storytelling on behalf of street children and refugees. I have been featured in South Jersey Magazine and Voyage LA City Guide Magazine as a photographer.
In addition to being a wedding photographer and aspiring photojournalist, I write. I keep a blog (Big Sea Little Boat) chronicling my unlikely adventures and faith journey, while also contributing to Daughter of Delight Ministries. Part of my personal mission is to continuously living a life worth writing about–– for the book I'll be writing in a couple decades, of course.
I am unceasingly inspired by the beauty of the world and motivated by justice. Most importantly, I embrace all the things that make me a "typical" millennial. I am hopeful, ambitious, and dare to leave a positive imprint in both personal relationships and on a global level.
TL;DR : Safeena is an ENFP and her spirit animal is the phoenix.
Not in LA? Want to collaborate anyway? Grab a sugary coffee? Get in touch! I'd love to meet you.
