body of work
portraits for women in seasons of becoming
This is for the versions of you that don’t always make it into photographs.
The woman becoming a mother. The woman diagnosed. The woman starting over. The woman scarred.
The woman who spent years being wanted, needed, admired, misunderstood – and remembering who she is underneath it all.
Your body keeps score in ways memory doesn’t.
In softened stomachs. In wounds mid-healing. In tension held in the jaw. In the way your shoulders learned to make themselves smaller. In the way desire returns after being buried.
Your body is a history. A landscape shaped by survival, pleasure, grief, hunger, touch, time, and love.
This session is an invitation to witness that.
We already learned how to smile, but not too much. Be sexy, but tasteful. Beautiful, but unthreatening. Confident, but never too much. Elegant, but always understated.
By adulthood, many women don’t just stand in front of a camera. We brace for impact. Being photographed stopped feeling like documentation and started feeling like performance.
I’m not interested in performance. I’m interested in the moment after you stop managing yourself. The moment you exhale the breath you didn’t realize you were holding, let the tears held back, let the sparkle you weren’t sure was still there shine through.
If this feels like it's for you, it probably is.
Body of Work is for women in transition.
For thresholds, endings, and beginnings. For the strange in-between where you are no longer who you were, but not yet sure who you’re becoming.
This may be for you if:
your body has changed and you want to meet it with less cruelty
you’re entering motherhood and want to remember more than the bump
you’re leaving a relationship and reclaiming your sense of self
you’ve spent years behind the camera, behind caretaking, behind achievement
you want images that feel like art, not evidence of attractiveness
you simply want proof that you were here
You do not need to arrive confident. In fact, many women don’t. You only need willingness to be deeply seen.
The Experience
Each session is built around who you are, not who you think you should be.
Together we choose a landscape in harmony with you: ocean, desert, mountains, your home, somewhere wild enough to loosen you, or quiet enough to hear yourself think.
I’ll spend some time knowing you beyond the small talk and data points. I’ll guide you without forcing you into poses that don’t belong to you. I’ll pay attention to the way you naturally move.
Movement over posing.
Presence over perfection.
Truth over polish.
This isn’t traditional boudoir or portraiture.
It can be sensual. It can be soft. It can be powerful.
But it does not exist to make you consumable.
This work is not about becoming more desirable, but about becoming more visible to yourself.
Not as fantasy, archetype, or goddess.
As woman. Complicated. Contradictory. Human.
you are deeply alive
That alone is worthy of being honored, witnessed, and celebrated.
That's why we make photographs.
let’s begin your Body of Work
Your Body of Work should feel like you—not like anyone else's idea of what this experience should be.
